The votes are in for California Wedding Day Best of 2022 and we have been nominated in FOUR categories!

We are so excited to have been nominated again this year and honored to be considered amongst the best vendors the Central Coast wedding industry has to offer. This year, we were nominated in four categories: Best New Venue, Best Outdoor Venue, Best Indoor Venue, and Best Overall Vendor!

We are ecstatic at the nominations and after a major hit to our industry the last two years, it feels so good to see our friends and colleagues be recognized for all of their hard work and we can’t wait to celebrate their accomplishments.

Winners will be announced May 17th at the Best of 2022 Awards Gala hosted by the Vibiana. Results can be found immediately following the event on californiaweddingday.com. Thank you so much to all of our brides, grooms, and industry colleagues for the nomination!

Our latest feature in Martha Stewart is getting us excited and ready for Summer to arrive! This July 2019 wedding was “a big party with all of our favorite people, amazing food, drinks, and music," Cait says. "All, of course, in a beautiful setting.” In our opinion, there’s nothing better! Can anyone else hear All Summer Long playing in your head?

The secluded location of the pond was key in this serene, light-hearted ceremony. Decor that was “gentle on the senses” created an “overgrown, organic, garden-party feeling” says planner Vanessa Noel of Vanessa Noel Events. We couldn’t have imagined a better pairing than Avenue Twelve’s wooden garden chairs with our pond as a backdrop!

Cait and Fletch could not have dreamed up a more perfect central coast day. “The weather was amazing, the music was exactly as we envisioned, and we enjoyed being in a little bubble together with all our friends and loved ones” said Cait about her big day. Idlewild Floral adorned the space with smokebush, foliage, and textural, airy florals contributing to the most romantic, yet relaxed atmosphere.

As guests made their way down to cocktail hour in the courtyard they were greeted with this GORGEOUS lounge where they sat and enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and each other! For their reception space, Cait & Fletch had a new and innovative vision for the barn. Aiming for a more natural look, they opted for muslin draping with white washed and gray beaded chandeliers. The barn is truly a blank canvas for brides to play with and we must say, what Cait, Fletch, and Vanessa dreamed up has been one of our absolute favorites!

The perfect day turned into a magical evening which quickly gave way to dancing the night away! Every chair in the barn was empty as family and friends got down to the Lucky Devils Band. The best ending to the best day!

It's been a couple of weeks since we came home from the California Wedding Day Best of 2018 awards banquet.  Almost every year since our first wedding in 2014, we have been blessed enough to come home with an award for one of the "Best Venue" categories, whether it be Best Outdoor Venue or Best Overall Venue.  This year, we sat in the audience nominated in two categories - Best Outdoor Venue and Best Overall Vendor (say what!).  We were so humbled to celebrate the night with the Best Overall Vendor award in our hands, with our Central Coast vendor community dancing by our side! You might have read our website's Our Story page, and if not, then let me tell you it's quite a good love story to hear.  The historic Greengate property lost it's glow for a while after its prior owner passed away.  Our current owner reignited that by making Greengate's revival his labor of love.  And since our first wedding, we have continually strived to better the property, the beauty of the land, the accommodations, and our service.  It's amazing to feel recognized for that and inspires us to do more.  We look forward to another year of progress and another year awaiting the next California Wedding Day Best Of awards.  And keep a look out, because we have big plans for Greengate ahead...
