Katie’s dream was to get married in her hometown of San Luis Obispo, always knowing Greengate Ranch & Vineyard was the venue she wanted. With their venue chosen, their talented planner, Vanessa Noel Events, used Katie and Connor’s vision to create a modern, coastal and fun celebration - perfect for the Central Coast destination.

Their ceremony at the Pond was outfitted with a beautiful organic floral arch by Noonan’s Designs. The celebration then moved to the front of the Ranch House for a cocktail hour full of refreshing drinks and delicious appetizers by Field to Table Catering.

It was a perfect summer night as cocktail hour turned into a coastal reception in the Stables with a soft palette of greens, blues and neutrals. At sunset, Katie and Connor slipped away into the vineyards of the Greengate property for photos with Kelsea Holder, giving them an intimate time to appreciate the excitement of the day.

Guests dined and danced the night away in the Stables under Bella Vista Design’s perfectly coastal-modern light installation. The bride and groom personally curated playlists DJ’d by Party Proper that kept the crowd entertained all night before they exited through a sea of cold spark cannons. This was a dream vendor team for a dream couple and we loved every minute of celebrating Katie and Connor!

The votes are in for California Wedding Day Best of 2022 and we have been nominated in FOUR categories!

We are so excited to have been nominated again this year and honored to be considered amongst the best vendors the Central Coast wedding industry has to offer. This year, we were nominated in four categories: Best New Venue, Best Outdoor Venue, Best Indoor Venue, and Best Overall Vendor!

We are ecstatic at the nominations and after a major hit to our industry the last two years, it feels so good to see our friends and colleagues be recognized for all of their hard work and we can’t wait to celebrate their accomplishments.

Winners will be announced May 17th at the Best of 2022 Awards Gala hosted by the Vibiana. Results can be found immediately following the event on californiaweddingday.com. Thank you so much to all of our brides, grooms, and industry colleagues for the nomination!

UPDATE: We were honored to walk home with the award for BEST OVERALL VENDOR for San Luis Obispo County!!!! Thank you to everyone who supported us and who continue to do so.

If you could dream up your most extraordinary, one of a kind wedding, what would you do? Neon signs? Disco balls? Ombre hydrangeas greeting you at the end of the aisle? Well Madi and Jordan dreamt up their perfect wedding and it had all of those things and MORE! Alongside the amazing design/coordination duo, Lovelyfest, Madi and Jordan brought their lavender, pink, and iridescent vision to life!

The 340 guests in attendance filled the flower lined peninsula. Idlewild went above and beyond when bringing Madi’s idea of a hydrangea filled ceremony to life. Madi has had a special place in her heart for the flower ever since she was young and visited the Azores, where her great-grandparents are from and where hydrangeas are a-plenty.

The most extravagant escort display we have ever laid eyes on welcomed guests to the courtyard for cocktail hour. Madi and Jordan “had a vision of creating a three dimensional, colorful escort display to match their fun wedding design” and Lovelyfest absolutely nailed it. They went all out for this signage and we couldn’t be any more in love with it!

Guests were seated under a canopy of lights on our Grand Lawn for dinner. The weather was perfect for an early evening dinner, with the space lighting up beautifully as the sun began to set. Dinner on the lawn brings such a different feel to the wedding while really taking advantage of what Greengate has to offer and we love when couples go that route!

Barn transformation, anyone?! We could not believe how all of the vendors came together to bring our barn to LIFE. If those disco balls could be permanently installed, we wouldn’t be mad about it! “The Hines” neon sign brought everyone into the party and the dessert display and great music kept everyone there! Every detail of this barn transformation was so thought out and well executed—and also gave us some serious inspo for the future!
