Martha Stewart Weddings | This Wedding Proves You Can Seamlessly Marry Classic and Rustic Décor in One Event

A little late on posting this one, and definitely one we shouldn’t miss! Mika & Steve’s spring wedding was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings last month! This couple and their wedding style were the perfect combination of classic elegance and refined rustic. Planner Tyler Speier handled the wedding’s design, planning, and florals.

From the article: “Mika and Steve fell in love with the grapevines, barn, and lush gardens at Greengate the moment they stepped foot onto the property. "[It has] rolling green hills and a vineyard as far as the eye can see," the couple shares. ‘We loved the fact that you were only 10 minutes from the beach, but still had a very rustic setting.’ An added bonus? Their entire wedding party was able to stay onsite so they could fully celebrate the weekend's festivities.”

Their extended memorial day weekend wedding festivities included Rehearsal Dinner at the Ranch House, followed by Welcome Drinks for their additional guests at the Pool Arena. Check out the feature for more on Mika and Steve’s wedding story.

The Venue Report | San Luis Obispo County's Best Wedding Venues

We are honored to be named by the much respected Venue Report on their recent article From the Sea to Wineries: San Luis Obispo County's Best Wedding Venues. Out of the 21 venues listed, we were named #1 on the list!

What they had to say about SLO County:

“Though you’re just a couple hours north of LA in San Luis Obispo County, it feels like you’ve left urban chaos and entered some alternate universe where wandering through walnut groves, apple orchards and malbec vines is all just part of a normal day. The scenery here is stunning, marked by rolling meadows and distant mountains, and you’ll find there’s a number of incredible local wineries and hidden vineyards in the mix. This guide takes you through the best of the wedding sites we know, including private estates, sprawling ranches and rustic barns. Whether you’re planning a secret garden wedding with a tiny guest list or a big soiree that requires a mix of indoor and outdoor space, we’ve got your SLO wedding venue sorted.”

Here’s what they had to say about us:

“One of the largest vineyard venues in SLO, Greengate hosts weddings of up to 700 guests. There are lots of outdoor options for ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, and there’s a towering wood barn that dates back to the 1880s.”
