Martha Stewart Weddings | Contemporary Décor at This California Wedding

Our latest feature in Martha Stewart is getting us excited and ready for Summer to arrive! This July 2019 wedding was “a big party with all of our favorite people, amazing food, drinks, and music," Cait says. "All, of course, in a beautiful setting.” In our opinion, there’s nothing better! Can anyone else hear All Summer Long playing in your head?

The secluded location of the pond was key in this serene, light-hearted ceremony. Decor that was “gentle on the senses” created an “overgrown, organic, garden-party feeling” says planner Vanessa Noel of Vanessa Noel Events. We couldn’t have imagined a better pairing than Avenue Twelve’s wooden garden chairs with our pond as a backdrop!

Cait and Fletch could not have dreamed up a more perfect central coast day. “The weather was amazing, the music was exactly as we envisioned, and we enjoyed being in a little bubble together with all our friends and loved ones” said Cait about her big day. Idlewild Floral adorned the space with smokebush, foliage, and textural, airy florals contributing to the most romantic, yet relaxed atmosphere.

As guests made their way down to cocktail hour in the courtyard they were greeted with this GORGEOUS lounge where they sat and enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and each other! For their reception space, Cait & Fletch had a new and innovative vision for the barn. Aiming for a more natural look, they opted for muslin draping with white washed and gray beaded chandeliers. The barn is truly a blank canvas for brides to play with and we must say, what Cait, Fletch, and Vanessa dreamed up has been one of our absolute favorites!

The perfect day turned into a magical evening which quickly gave way to dancing the night away! Every chair in the barn was empty as family and friends got down to the Lucky Devils Band. The best ending to the best day!

Edible SLO | Staycation on the Farm

We are honored to be a part of the Edible SLO Experience Issue, where we were one of six properties to be featured as a staycation experience! Accompanying this charming rendering of the Carriage House and one of our adorable resident rescue Arabians (lower right corner below ), was the sweetest little bit about what a “farm stay” would be like with us at Greengate Ranch & Vineyard. Click on the photo below to check out the issue! Find more about our “refined, no-expense-spared California ranch experience … with epic views surrounding the vineyards and Edna Valley” on page 55 (page 53 for print).

Thank you Edible SLO for including us!

Green Wedding Shoes | Culture + Color Overflow...

Yes, yes, yes!!! So excited to get this gallery back and hear that it is up on Green Wedding Shoes for the world to see. This wedding was the perfect Sikh-American blend, equally as rich in color as it was in culture. What a fun weekend for Sonya and Mangal (and the rest of us who got to watch all of these elements come together into something so beautiful). There is no question this vendor team nailed it - from the signage to the florals and creative installations, we are swooning over it all.

Their Mehndi Night was held at the Ranch House, with guests welcomed out on the Vineyard Vista and a seated dinner behind on the Terrace Lawn. A few snaps of the Mehndi dinner can be seen below!

Ceremony and reception details were inspired and innovative. April Flowers threw a twist on some old-school floral classics with her ceremony and reception installation pieces. We definitely don’t mind seeing baby’s breathe and carnations around again if they look like these ones!

A colored carnation string installation framed the barn entrance. Nothing could have paired with it better than Paper Cake’s color bomb dessert variety display - yum! Enjoy more photos on the Green Wedding Shoes website.
